Next day all the groups are going to make a  Christmas show for the other ones and this group is going to sing I am a Dancing ChristmasTree. We were practicing it  in our lesson but it would be good if the children could practice it at home too. Click on the title, please.

Children need to learn the words:

Shake your head

Kick your legs

Wave your arms,

Jump up down

Turn around

Children also made a STAR for their heads, so they can look like real Christmas trees, dancing Christmas trees.

In our  lesson today students had to answer the following questions:

What day is today?

What´s the month?

Have you got any brothers or sisters?

What´s your brother´s /sister´s name?

Have you got parents?

What are your parent´s names?

They saw some pictures of families and answered  the question:

Who are they? The answer could be: They are the parents or They are the grandparents or They are the children.

The teacher read the story of Benjamin, a little boy who had a great imagination and could see things that his parents could not see, like a camel, a hippo or a witch doctor jumping rope with a snake.
Students made a picture of the part of the story they like the best. They made VERY NICE pictures, mostly of Benjamin, the camel and the flood, which was quite real, not imagination.

We were reviewing the parts of the body and playing the game Around the World. Good for Irene, she was the star of the day.
Some of the students still need to learn the words: toes, 1 foot, 2 feet, belly, head, knees and back.

The scores for the day were:
Player 1     5
Player 2     6
Player 3     4
Player 4     4
Player 5     4

I musn´t forget to say that Alejandro did much better in this lesson and he is quite a surprise sometimes: he knows quite a bit¡

We are learning about the members of the family. The most difficult words for the chidren to understand are

parents

grandparents

Students showed a picture they had drown two weeks ago: they said: this is my mom, this is my dad, this is my brother (if there was one), this is my dog (if there was one), this is me.

We started to study parts of the body. Children must learn irregular plurals like: 1 tooth- 2 teeth and 1 foot - 2 feet.
This is the link to a Christmas son called My two front teeth. You can click on it to watch the video and listen to the song. All they have to learn is the highlighted paragraph.

Here are the lyrics to the song:

All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth: LyricsEvery body Pauses and stares at me
These two teeth are gone as you can see
I don't know just who to blame for this catastrophe!
But my one wish on Christmas Eve is as plain as it can be!

All I want for Christmas
is my two front teeth,
my two front teeth,
see my two front teeth!

Gee, if I could only
have my two front teeth,
then I could wish you
"Merry Christmas."
It seems so long since I could say,
"Sister Susie sitting on a thistle!"
Gosh oh gee, how happy I'd be,
if I could only whistle (thhhh, thhhh)

All I want for Christmas
is my two front teeth,
my two front teeth,
see my two front teeth.

Gee, if I could only
have my two front teeth,
then I could wish you
"Merry Christmas!"

Today we were learning the names of family members: mother, father, brother, sister, grandfather and grandmother. I showed them pictures of my family and said, for instance: this is my sister, her name is Sofía or This is my grandmother, her name is Conny.

Chidren drew a picture of their family and wrote for each one: This is my (father, brother)..... . His name is...
or This is my (mother, sister). Her name is ......

We listened to the song, We are family.

Teacher gave 10 different instructions and acted them: Listen; touch the board; point at the picture; take a pencil; take a pair of scissors, look at Jennifer, write your name on a paper, write your name on the board, draw a circle, draw a square.
Children repeated instructions while acting them.

For the Olympic Games, children had to give as many instructions as they could remember.

Homework
Bring a photograph of your family so you can introduce them to us.

For parents: this is not the last entry. It is the one before, so please read it.

Hello boys and girls,

Remember we are studying the family:  Remember Stella? She has 1 sister and 1 brother. Her sister´s name is Suzy and her brother´s name is Simon.

She also has her parents: Mrs Star, her mother, and Mr Star, her father.

She also has her grandparents: her grandmother or Grandma Star and her grandfather, or Grandad Star.

Here is a family. You can give them names.

For example: The girl in blue is Abbie. Her brother´s name is Darren. He wears purple clothes.
Abbie has a doll. Abbie´s grandmother has a green coat, her name is Dora. Abbie´s grandfather wears a brown jacket. His name is Tom. Abbie´s parents are Alice and Joe.

                              Who is Darren´s sister?

In the lesson we were listening to a recording and coloring everyone´s car as they said in the recording.

Raúl did not have time to get points for the Olympic Games so I won´t publish them until next week.

Congratulations to everybody because they are all able to say the plural of the words.

We played a game everybody likes: Around the world. Raúl and Irene wan each a round: GOOD FOR THEM, keep listening.

We did a listening: students had to listen and tick the picture on the worksheet which showed what it said.

Finally we were listening to the son 5 little monkeys and also singing it.

Students drew a picture of their best friend: they said their name and their age: His name is David and he is 6 years old.
