Well, that was our last class on the topic of animals.

Happy Birthday Raúl! I hope you had a nice party. We missed you in class.

This time I asked students: What's your address? But they did not know the name of their street, so they couldn't answer the question. I told them, and this is a reminder, that they must find out what's their address: the name of the street and the number. That way they can learn how to say it in English.

We reviewed the names of animals and put them in 5 groups. Each group was a family. Students had to try to complete a family by asking their classmates for the right animals. They had to ask: Have you got...(the cow, the squirrel, etc.)? and the classmate they asked had to answer: Yes, I've got it or No, I haven't. Students got points each time they asked the question or answered
properly, and I must congratulate Elsa because she did a great job.

We learned some things different animals do: fly, swim, run, walk. I noticed most students already knew those words.

Students listened to a recording and had to say if the picture on their sheet was right or wrong. They all did very well. They also had to complete some writing  exercises: finding the correct word for each animal and writing it.

Homework
Here is link to a nice web site where children can practice spelling the names of animals. Children can click on Guess first: then they must click on the name of the animal they think they see. Then they can go to Spell and try to wite the names themselves.
They can also write the name of 2 animals that can swim, 2 animals that can fly, 2 that can run and 2 that can walk.
